So you are having trouble finding credible information and writing you review of related literature, do not worry, you are not alone, I also had problems finding information for my research and literature review. The first thing that you must do is to find a lecture who knows how to use EBSCOHOST or a lab technician because this website is the most important source for you to find credible sources to use as well as provide additional information regarding your topic as there might be people who have used the same strategy that you are using. Moreover, these sources are what you will put in you literature review to reinforce what it is that you are trying to say. When using the sources in your literature review, you MUST use the APA style of citation which is, for example, According to Johnson (2008) …, the date always follow the author and you do not necessarily have to follow the format above, but it is for you to understand how to use in-text citation. One thing you must remember is that the source used MUST be included in the reference and do not include sources that are not a part of the literature review as it is unfair and unethical and in referencing the sources the format to follow is last name, first name initial. (date in bracket). topic italicized. retrieved from the name of the website. or for book the referencing is last name, first name initial. (date in bracket). name of the book italicized. place it was published: name of publishing house

Finding information was very hard at first until I found out several ways of finding credible information or sources. Ebsco host was a very important place to find credible sources to put in my literature review. In Ebsco host the citations are already in APA style. APA style is the required style of citation in a study. If finding information on google it is important to check if the study is signed off by credible persons.

Garnering sources for a literature review can be tedious when the topic be researched is not widely studied by others. One should first ensure that there is enough literature out there to support your topic. Secondly, ensure that the sources directly ralate to your topic. In writing your literature review, you do not include your opinion. Only use two direct quotes and everything else should be paraphrased.

A literature review is often times preceived to be an annoted biblography in which articles are merely summarized, consequently, this preception is held each time a reserch task is given. however a literature review is goes merely beyond summarizing professional literature , where as it focuses on a specific topic of interest to the researcher and includes a critical analysis of the relationship among different works, and relating this research to your work. When writing your literature review you should not include your opinion. however, only two direct quotes and pratically 90% most be paraphrased and ensure intext citation used reflects the reference page and vice versa.
nb. when concluding your literature review you must say how what you’ve found relates to your topic.

In a literature review it goes beyond summarizing professional literature, where as it focuses on a specific topic of interest to the researcher. Literature can be very tedious especially when the topic is a wide one. Hence, we must ensure that the source is related to the topic. However, when writing your literature review you should not include your opinion. Whenever writing literature ensure that you paraphrase the information and make sure in text citation is used to reflect reference page. Use direct quotations sparingly.

Finding information on some topics for research may be very difficult for some persons. However, these difficulties may be eliminated in several ways. Firstly, you should always look for related literature on the internet which is on your topic of research before researching the topic. Thereafter, it is good to check with the library for information. I discovered that Ebsco host is a credible site to source information. Aslo, some Pdf documents are reliable too. As it regard to the APA documentation, you need to get a manual or download a pdf APA documentation from the internet and follow it keenly.

Finding credible sources of information for the literature review is no longer an issue for me. EBSCOHOST has a wide variety of information on different topics. The information is already in APA citation so it makes the task much easier for researchers (that does not mean that you should not learn how to do APA citation on your own). When writing the literature review your opinion should not be included because the review is about the literature. Direct quotes from journals can be used but no more than two. The quotes should be no more than 40 words each. Most of the information should be paraphrased and summarized.

One of the first things in conducting the research is to carefully select a topic which has been studied by others. After selecting a topic, the first thing to do is to visit internet sites, journals or book sources to find studies based on your topic. Upon doing such, one will be able to write their Literature Review. In the Literature Review, at least two (2) direct quotations should be used and the remaining citations should be paraphrased. For the direct quotations, citations can be done by stating (the author’s last name, year and page number); as it relates to paraphrasing, only (the author’s last name and year) is used. Additionally, in doing the Literature Review, one must be mindful of the fact that an individual’s opinion should not be included in the review. Despite this, the conclusion of the Literature Review may, to an extent, have an opinion as you should be sure to say how what you have found relates to your topic.

There are many ways researchers can determine credibility. Some of which are:
Always look at the home page, or main page, of any Web site. Look for a link that says “home” or enter the Web address only through the domain name. For example, if you were on the page http://www.amnesty.org/en/demand-dignity, you would delete the information from the end to result in http://www.amnesty.org. On the home page, you can find more information. Especially check out the “About Us” link, which will sometimes reveal the author or sponsor.
Author -Look for who the author is and what you can find out about that person or organization. What are the author’s qualifications? If there is no author, think twice before using the source.
Sponsor – Look for who owns the site. Is it a reputable group or organization? If so, that is a good sign, even if no individual author is listed. If you cannot tell what group or individual developed the site, think twice before using the source.
Date – Is the information current? For many disciplines, the currency of information is vital.
Documentation -Does the source tell readers where its facts are from? If the source mentions many details or statistics with no documentation, be wary.
Therefore, Do not assume that the top results from a search engine list are necessarily credible. Search engines have different methods for organizing and ordering results. You are likely just looking at the most popular results, not the best ones. Do not rely on just the domain type to determine credibility. Anyone can begin their own .org Web site; the .org itself does not indicate the quality of the source. Many pages on .edu domains are created by students and are thus not the best sources to cite.
One of the key tasks of writing a research paper is gathering evidence to support your hypothesis. You will depend on other people, both experts and actual historical figures, as sources for your evidence. You need to give credit to these people (referred to as sources) when you use their words, opinions and thoughts in you research paper. You must cite your sources. There is a general rule for citations: The harder it would be for your readers to come across your fact through their own efforts the more surely you need to cite it.

I have experiences a lot of challenges finding creditable and scholarly sources that speak about the research topic I have being studying. However I did not let my challenges demotivate me I never stop searching until I have found the required literature review for my research. In completing this session of my research the Bethlehem Moravian Library is the favourite part on campus for me as it provide me with a lot of books with valuable and creditable information to help write up my review of related literature. This activity done and the information from this activity is very vital to the completion of my research paper as it have being guiding me in writing up the qualitative report of my findings. based on my prior knowledge from Information Literacy course it has being my guide in using proper citations and referencing.

Finding information for the literature review was one of the hard parts of the research. This was so as I had to be looking for recent information and credible sources. You should try to find information from persons who are professionals and whose information is reliable and has been read by other professionals. To find information for the literature review is one of the most difficult things to do. But I have learnt that I can use Ebscohost. On Ebscohost you are able to find creditable sources that can be used in the literature review. What is also good about Ebscohost is that the articles are already in APA format, which is good for the literature review. Though it is tedious to find articles, we have to work diligently in order to find the required amount of sources for the literature review, so that this chapter will be completed and it will be of good quality.

My understanding of how to search for credible sources of information, and how to write my review using proper citation and referencing. What i do is to search for studies that were done on my topic and i ensure to read it through to find information that can help me in my research.In searching for credible sources of information i mostly go on EBSCOHOST because on this site am sure to get credible information. In writing my review i always ensure to use proper citation to show that the work is not mine and then i make sure to a note of it in my reference.

Finding the information was hard, until I learn about EBSCO host. EBSCO host have information for every topic there is about the education system. The information’s found in EBSCO host are research that other have done. You may not find the information that you are looking for directly, but you will get information that you can relate your research to. The information’s that is found on EBSCO host is already in APA citation so it makes the task much easier for researchers. When you want to know if the information is credible these are something’s that you should do: fine out Who is the author – is the author in the field of study, do they cite there source. The next thing to look at is How recent is the source there are rapid changes, so we need to be much more current. Finding articles and different literature which speaks to my research topic was and still is a challenging task. Searching for information takes time and the right method has to be used. However, i try not to let that stop me from searching. Ebsco host is a favourite place to visit when looking for credible information towards your research topic. Once this has been done, citing the information and using references is of utmost importance. On this site, some information are in APA format already; while some you have to do properly for yourselves. However, i always ensure that my in text citations are cited properly and my references are in the 6th edition of the APA style; so as to make my research a valuable and credible one when it is finish.

Information is at the finger tip of the seeker, just a click or insertion of a word can afford the privilege of myriads of information, but are all these information credible? As an informed scholar I am mindful of the fact that the web is an open book, therefore anyone can add to the pages of this book. I have become increasingly aware of these alarming facts, hence I exercise due diligence in garnering information for my paper. I have learnt that the most credible sources for retrieving information include: .org, .edu., .gov and even though I have not gained conceptual knowledge in using Ebsco host I was sensitized with its high level of scholastic value. On the flip side the websites that I have been warned to treat as taboo are WIKIPEDIA, .COM amidst others. In concluding I write my review using proper citations and referencing taken from the 6th edition APA style where in text information is acknowledged by exhausting the word according to… or Young (2000) states that accompanied by a reference page written in alphabetical order with the names of the authors, title of article, year, publisher and publication address

In finding these sources, the researcher can explore websites such as EBSCO and other sources which are deemed as credible sources. In addition, the researcher can also use journals, books and newspaper articles to complete their literature review. When referencing, the format required is the APA style of writing, this can be found in books or even on several websites.

My understanding as to how to find credible sources of information, and how to write the Review using proper citations and referencing is that I use articles or other research conducted by researchers that can be found on EBSOHOST. This is so because the information from this source is very credible and it is also in the APA format which is the correct format. When writing up the Review I compare what other researchers has done to see how similar or different there research are and I also look at how long the research has been conducted. When citing the information I would ensure that I use the correct APA format. In writing the research I also write from present to the oldest.

Information is everywhere on the internet but not all information is credible or reliable. Many persons are having difficulties finding information to write their related review of literature, they are not alone because i am too. It has proven to be very challenging for me to find credible and relevant information to my topic. Therefore, whenever i am researching i ensure that i only use educational websites. Having select these websites, i further ensure that the sources are up to date, reliable and valid to my research paper. When citing these sources or the information garnered from these websites, i always consult the sixth edition (6th) of the APA style of referencing; i do this because one can make a mistake when citing sources and i want to ensure that i cite my sources correctly.

I have similar experience with my literature review. A literature review depends largely on the research problem that is being focused on. Therefore whatever is being researched is exactly what we would try to gather information on. The sources used should be no more than eight years old and A.P.A referencing should be used.

Finding credible sources for a research paper can be very stressful. Most of the times end tend to use our normal websites such as Google to find information, however the information may tend to be less credible and effective to use in most cases. Nevertheless there are a few websites and online scholarly database sites that we can visit to retrieve resourceful information. Such online scholarly databases such as InfoTrac, LexisNexis and EBSCO, which provide access to the latest research in hundreds of areas. Also primary sources such as books, newspapers etc are useful sources where you can direct information. Its effective that we should visit the library to learn about finding credible sources and using books in order to produce an effective paper on any assignment which requires proper citing.

I my self was experiencing the same challenge of finding literature that are current and related to my topic. I realized that most of the theorist that was linked to my research topic would not be current if i used them as is. Therefore I took it upon myself to research and question how I can use these theorist to back up my topic. That’s when I learnt that to make a citation current and relevant I would have to cite it in another article for example (Piaget in Ebanks 2015). After which I would put in my reference page, Ebanks, S (2015) Name of the Article.

In searching for credible sources of information you should ensure that the information gathered reflects what you are focusing on for the research. Therefore, you have to ensure that the information itself is relevant to what you are studying. Be sure not to garner any of your information from Wikipedia as this is not a credible source. When writing your review of the related literature, bear in mind that it is a review of what other persons have to say about the topic you are studying and as such should not include your personal opinion. You are allowed to use only two direct quotations throughout the literature review and each quotation should not exceed forty words. The remainder of the review should be paraphrased and all the sources provided both in the review and the reference page.

Proper citations and referencing is one of several challenges faced by many college students in carrying out their research. Notwithstanding, proper citations and referencing makes any research or study, substantial, creditable, authentic (plagiarism free) and support your argument or statements.
Firstly, the literature reviewed must be no older than 2008 and your literature must have ten to fifteen primary sources. This is to say that the resource or information used must be up to dated and from the main source (first publication only, no edited version).
Secondly, APA in text citations is where you state the source for the information or idea used in the body of your text. This is done by paraphrasing or summarizing or using quotations from the source. In the case of quotation, you must include the list of reference in parentheses at the end your sentence/s.
Example for formatting: According to author’s name (date in parentheses) information paraphrase or summarized.
Example for formatting: quotation or specific piece of information from source (author’s name, date, page number are separated by common)
Thirdly, you need a reference page titled ‘Reference’ that completely state the bibliographical information used in your text. You can go about this by; stating the author’s name (last name, first name initials), put year of publication in parenthesis, title of the book/ journal, include the city and publisher for books.
Reference should be in alphabetical order and most materials require different APA styling.

In order to write a suitable literature review, one must first research different topics to see if there are sufficient and appropriate literature about that topic in order to complete the task. You should be skeptic about how and to what extent the literature reflects their study before using that particular one as a reference. EBSCO Host has a wide variety of articles that may be beneficial to students’ research. Remember that the APA citation style is to be used in your research. You should have two direct quotes in your literature review and the rest should be paraphrased with the reference cited. Remember that your personal opinion is not need in the literature review. Ensure that you use your knowledge of how to evaluate a source to find out whether or not it is credible and current.

Well based on my understand of how to search for credible sources, first you login to EBOSCOhost, click on teacher resources, then you type in what you are looking for in your search engine afterwards you can select the date for which you want information ranging from for example I only want information from 2008 -2015. Then you click search and search for your information relating to your topic. For the citation and referencing. Your citation and referencing should be APA style. For citation, you have the In-text citation. The In-text citations allows readers to know what they can find full information about the source of an idea you have paraphrased or summarized, or the source of a quotation, in the list of references at the end of your paper. Example Author named in a sentence: According to Myrie (2015), Sundays are the best days in the week.
As it relates to referencing, you use the APA style referencing. APA documentation style requires a list of references where readers can find complete bibliographical information about the sources referred to in your paper. The list of referencing should appear at the end of your paper, beginning on a new page titled “References.” For example, I used book with one author my reference would look like this ; Myrie, C. (2015). Pretty girl. Westmoreland: Jamaica University press.

Finding credible information or sources can be a hard task, if your not properly guided and taught the skills necessary to search for information. It is very important that the information gather by you the researcher must be of good quality and should be taken from credible sources as to maintain successful research paper. EbSCO host is an excellent site for finding credible information for your literature review and the references are already in APA style which makes it easier for you the researcher to utilize. The lit review must consist of other sources such as journals,books,news paper article etc.

This is indeed a challenge for most students. it was in fact a challenge for me as well.
However in gaining credibility with the information and data sources, we are often reminded by our lecturer to ensure that we search for information from “scholarly website”; such as EBSCO HOST.
Peer tutoring is also very helpful. Students can gain understandung from seeking assistance from a classmate for example.
It citing sources the APA format ought to be adhered to. We have been taught how to source information since first year. Nonetheless students who forget how to do this, i would advise them to consult with their lecturer, a peer or the Lit Centre.

I believe that’s students should exercise due care in completing thier Literature Review. Due to the fact that this is actually stating facts from previous research that is aligned with your research.
Therefore this should be done with adequate care and correct in text citation.

It is still a challenge for me to find credible information as it relates to my Literature Review, knowing that the information gathered must be current. However, even though the information is hard to get I will continue to visit the necessary websites such as EBSCO HOST, in order to complete this task accurately. In addition I will ensure I use the 6th edition APA style throughout my study in order to make this research a credible one.

Finding credible information for my literature review was a challenge for me since i did not know how to use Ebsco host. However after a long struggle i am now able to access the site and is now progressing with my assignment. A course was offered to us in APA citation therefore i am not finding too difficult since it is a requirement and must be adhered to.

However EBSCO host is recommended in finding this since the information here is very credible and also ensure that this information presented is in the 6th edition APA format. Initially, finding information to compose one’s literature review can be quite difficult. Firstly, the proper usage of the databases on which the information is found; is very vital. The topic to which one is studying has to made know to match it with the database that suits its nature. For instance, Ebscohost has a lot of the Social Sciences and Educational peer reviewed articles. The search bar of the database is equipped with many options that can make search easier such as “advanced search”. Using these options can help the researcher limited the thousands of unnecessary journal articles to 10 useful articles. Reading the abstracts is one of the other way of limiting the unnecessary journal articles.
After gathering the various articles, the researcher can starts the literature review with his or her introduction of what is being studied then supporting it with paraphrasing what authors have said about the topic or use a one of two direct quotation. The literature review will considers of ten to twelve sources with valuable information on the topic under study. In the final paragraph, one can conclude whatever being reviewed in the literature review.

There are 6 ways in which you can tell if a source is credible;
1The Author – Information on the internet with a listed author is one indication of a credible site.
2 Date -The date of any research information is important, including information found on the Internet.
3 Sources – Credible websites, like books and scholarly articles, should cite the source of the information presented.
4 Domain – Some domains such as .com, .org, and .net can be purchased and used by any individual.
5 Site Design – This can be very subjective, but a well-designed site can be an indication of more reliable information. Good design helps make information more easily accessible.
6 Writing Style – Poor spelling and grammar are an indication that the site may not be credible. For example Wikipedia.
Indeed there are other sources that do not have these qualities but If you are unsure whether the site you’re using is credible, verify the information found with another source you know to be reliable, such as an encyclopedia.

I am experiencing challenges finding credible information and writing up my Review of Related Literature. However, I visited EBSCO Host and Google Scholar and found information on my research topic. The information found was older than five years and as such writing up my literature review is still posing a challenge at his stage in the research process. With the information I collected, I paraphrased some parts and gave credit to the author by using in- text citation and creating a reference page.

It was time consuming finding credible sources. Most times it was also very tempting to take information from those that are not considered credible because in my opinion, they presented the information in such a simplified way. In understanding how to complete the literature review, I read different action research literature reviews in order to get an idea of how the information layout should be, and that was successful. In order to correctly complete these sections of the study, make sure that information is taken from sources such as Ebscohost, Journals and websites ending with .edu, among others. The research center on the school’s website also provides detailed information in completing proper citations and referencing.

It can be very challenging to determine whether a website you’re using is credible, however there are several factors that determine whether it is credible or not, first the fact that the author is willing to include his or her contact information is a good indication that the information is reliable, this is very important ,the date also allow researchers to make decisions whether that information is recent enough to be used, the source of the information presented should also be cited, the writing Style should also be an issue of concern poor spelling and grammar are an indication that the site may not be credible. In an effort to make the information presented easy to understand, credible sites watch writing style closely.
Using proper citation and references the writer should include the name of the publisher year of publication,place of publication, title of the document,etc, this information should not only be present on the reference page but also in the body of the information presented.

It is very difficult to find credible sources of information because anyone can write information that is not factual and post it on the internet. However, I usually use the PDF files. I also search for my information from journal articles on ebsco host. To help you with your literature review, just write the names of credible persons beside your information as you come across them and paraphrase your work. This will make it easier to complete the reference page and it aligns with the in-text citations.

Anyone, in theory, can publish on the Web; therefore, it is imperative for users of the Web to develop a critical eye to evaluate the credibility of Internet information. Searching for sources on the WWW involves using a search engine, a directory or some combination of these two. Because there is so much information on the Web, good and bad, finding what you want is not an exact science and can be time consuming. According to Nicholas C. Burbules, “….the Web is not an ordinary reference system; it poses some unique and, in many respects, unprecedented conditions that complicate the task of sorting out dependable from undependable information–and even complicates the notion that we have a clear sense of that distinction.
